Our Commitment to Your Family's Privacy

Last Updated: March 2026

At Gharko Sahara, we understand that your family's privacy and trust are paramount. We are committed to protecting your personal information and maintaining transparency about how we handle data. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices.

Data Collection

We collect minimal data required only for service delivery:

  • Full name of the client and emergency contact
  • Residential address in Kathmandu
  • Contact phone number and WhatsApp details
  • Utility account numbers (for bill payment purposes only)
  • Emergency contact information

We do not collect data beyond what is necessary for providing our services.

Password Security

We prioritize digital security and never store "Master Passwords" on our own servers. Instead:

  • Any digital credentials are kept in a physical "Legacy Binder" stored securely inside the client's home
  • Alternatively, credentials can be stored in a zero-knowledge encrypted vault (e.g., Bitwarden) that is fully controlled by the client
  • Our team accesses accounts only when the client explicitly authorizes and is present or aware

Reporting & Media

Photos or videos taken during visits are shared only with the designated family subscriber and are:

  • Never used for marketing or public promotion without explicit, written consent
  • Stored securely and not shared with third parties
  • Deleted upon client request at any time

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your data under any circumstances. Information is shared with third parties only to fulfill specific service requests, such as:

  • Coordinating with pharmacies for medicine refills
  • Arranging utility bill payments with service providers
  • Working with medical professionals for health-related services (with explicit consent)

All third parties are required to maintain confidentiality.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a full deletion of your digital records at any time
  • Access your data and review what information we hold
  • Modify your information by contacting us directly
  • Withdraw consent for any service at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us directly.

Data Security

We employ industry-standard security practices including:

  • Encrypted databases and secure backups
  • Restricted access to client data (only authorized personnel)
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Secure communication channels

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any significant changes will be communicated to our clients directly via email or in-person notification.

Your Privacy Matters to Us

We understand that trusting us with your family's personal information is a significant responsibility. We take this trust seriously and are committed to protecting your privacy above all else. If you have any concerns or questions about how we handle your data, please don't hesitate to reach out.
